They had a slightly different name when they installed my furnace/AC six
years ago. Well, they honoured their warranty 100% but they sent some of
the most useless technicians I've ever seen. For instance, the furnace ran
night and day and it wouldn't heat up the house. It took several calls for
them to figure out the gas shutoff wasn't completely open and was starving
the furnace. There were a few more boners. I even had to lend them my
tools. Anyway, after all the setup problems were worked out I've had no
problems with the equipment, but I made sure I didn't give them a cent in
carry on business.
Freezing AC coils usually means your system was over-sized, which makes
sense if you say you have a small house. Since there isn't enough heat in
the air to keep the coils clear of ice, the moisture freezes instead of
condensing out as water.
