If you go by current electricity and natural gas prices, a high
efficiency gas furnace will be cheaper.
BUT this is just for now.. North America is on the verge of undergoing
a 'green' change.
There are hundreds of coal burning power stations across the US and
Canada. Most of them will be changed over to natural gas in the next
few years. Natural gas burns cleaner and pollutes less than coal.
Many US states have put a moratorium on building coal power stations,
so new ones will have to be natural gas.
Because of this, expect natural gas prices to go through the roof
in the next few years as demand rises. (Just like gasoline is
doing now).
Go electric.......
PS
Manitoba has already converted one of their coal power stations
to natural gas. This is just the beginning of what we're going to
see across North America in the not too distant future.

Also.. If you invest in the stock market, start buying and holding
stocks for companies dealing in natural gas. I've added a couple to
my ****tfolio.
