You're correct, I do have the leather and chrome SLR version of the 
SX-70.  I didn't mention it in the post as the photos on the website 
clearly show that.  Obviously, though, it probably would have been a 
good idea to add that info.  Thanks for the heads up. :)

As for your desire to talk about interesting stuff, I definitely 
appreciate that.  Your original post just seemed to come across to me as 
challenging my claim that the battery was working. I'm completely 
willing to take the blame for that assumption.  Hopefully my response to 
your post helped provide possibilities for why the battery works fine. :)
