(I am an experienced cycle traveler but am new to this Group.
Hopefully I am following proper etiquette here:)
I am looking to buy a used hard bike travel case, i.e. one made of
hard plastic or metal with foam or other cu****oned interior. I need
such a case for a trip to Europe on May 26 (2008).
My bike frame is 21", which should fit in most standard cases, such as
those from Thule, B&W, etc. Case can be several years old, as long as
parts and shell are all intact and tight. Roller wheels are a plus.
I would be willing to pay $100-250, depending very much on the
condition, quality and age of the case. I live in South Chicago and
would be willing to drive up to a hundred miles or so to pick up the
case, since ****pping would probably cost about $130.
