Rare estate antique silk lace mitts or fingerless gloves from the
Victorian period (1837-1901). Considering the age of these lovely
mitts they are in remarkably good condition (please see details below
& photos). I have not laundered them...they are straight from the
estate storage to auction. Each mitt has a seam running from end-to-
end and where the thumb meets the hand. They feature a circular design
on the hands, a band with the same circular design at the wrists & at
the top edge and a beautifully graphic floral motif on the forearm
****tion. Simply lovely!
Whether you are looking for Victorian, Goth, Civil War era, Lolita
style or just plain ***y...these are must-haves! Please don't miss

Size: approx 14 3/4" from end to end, laid flat; will fit average
hand/wrist ending just before the elbow.
Material: silk lace (no tags)
Condition: excellent considering the age; one glove is near perfect
with no runs or tears, the other glove has 2 small holes at the seam
on the underside of the arm and 2 other holes in the floral area (see
photos). They are small enough that I feel they could be easily
mended and would be virtually unnoticeable. As you will see from the
photos, these are small things, especially considering they are well
over 100 years old and do certainly do not detract from their beauty
or style!
