1972 "Hockey Showdown The Canada-Russia Hockey Series" Book (H.Sinden)


I have for sale the out-of-print, edition book "Hockey Showdown: The
Canada-Russia Hockey Series" The Inside Story by Harry Sinden (1972). The
edition contains 126 pages including 16 pages of photographs profiling the
1972 Canada-Russia Hockey Series.
back cover excerpt:
"In the fall of 1972, hockey history was made when a Canadian team
consisting of NHL professionals finally met the Russian national team in
the world series of hockey."
About the author:
"Harry Sinden was born in Toronto and began to play hockey at a very early
age. His frist exposure to international hockey came in 1958 when he
captained the Canadian team to the world champion****p against the Russians
in Oslo, Norway. He played and coached professionally for several yaers
and
became coach of the Boston Bruins at the age of 33, leading them to a
Stanley Cup in 1970. He then left hockey until he became coach of Team
Canada in 1972." The front cover features a full-color action photo of
Harry Sinden and Phil Esposito.
