Vintage Hand Colored Victorian Women ****trait in Frame, c. Late 1800s-1900s
This Vintage late 1800s or early 1900s ****trait of two French Victorian

Women is in its original frame and in excellent condition. The Frame is
oval shape and measures 19 ½ inches x 16 1/4 inches. The frame is a
cream/gold color. The ****trait is of two women in Victorian style long
dresses. One woman is sitting and kitting, while the other woman is
standing by her side. They are in an outdoor scene with mountains and
blooming trees in the background. At the bottom, the ****trait says (Leroy
Imp Paris, La Mode Illustree, Bureaux du Journal, 56 Rue, Jacob, Paris).
In
the lower right hand corner, there is a signature that looks to be (Anais
CouDouge) or (Anais CouDouze). The ****trait is hand colored and very
detailed and shows vivid colors. The frame has one minor paint chip (1/2
inch long at the bottom). The ****trait is in excellent condition with no
damage at all. It is under the original glass.
