I have a pair of older Technics Model SB-L51 front speakers that are
funtionally in great shape (work perfectly and sound great!) and are
physically in great shape except for the grills that are looking
fairly worn now. I would like $25 for the speakers.

Quote from the internet:
I have a pair of SB-L51s. I like them, they sound rather warm and
large for their size.
A friend was getting rid of his to make room for a pair of Paradigm
Studio Monitors. I had the Technics (with the grills off) in my
bedroom system for a while.....and I like mine as well. They have a
sound that I would describe as neutral on most sources, but absolutely
COME ALIVE when playing recordings made at live rock concerts. Big
suprise for me, since I rather dislike most bass reflex designs
(Mission and Harbeth speakers being notable exceptions), and I like
Japanese speakers even less. There is something about this particular
Technics model that captures the ambience, when they're played loud
and even when they're played not-so-loud, of live events I attended in
the 70's, 80's, and 90's. I'm glad I got them.
