5-DISC CD CHANGER WITH PLAYXCHANGE
Flag****p carousel-type changer with 5-disc capacity. Features Yamaha's
patented PlayXchange which permits four discs to be replaced while the
fifth is playing.
PRO-BIT DIGITAL TRANSLATION TECHNOLOGY*
Pro-Bit mimics the 20-bit resolution of professional recording. The
higher bit rate produces less quantization noise during A/D
conversion. The translator takes the 16-bit CD signal and adjusts it
to more accurately reflect the signal of the recording process. The
translated output goes to a 22-bit, 8X oversampling digital filter, a
22-bit to 18-bit noise shaper, and then to the S-Bit Plus DACs. This
digital domain process delivers an audibly more natural sound.
S-BIT PLUS DIGITAL-TO-ANALOG CONVERSION*
Yamaha's S-Bit Plus digital-to-analog conversion technology improves
resolution, amplitude, and timing of the digital signal. In the
CDC-765, four DACs are used -- two for each channel. The result is
superb low level linearity, more realistic imaging and soundstaging,
and better acoustic detail.
SUPER-SILENT MECHANISM
Only the music will be heard, thanks to Yamaha's newly designed super
silent mechanism.
TABLE OF CONTENTS MEMORY
Provides faster automatic disc change and track access. The table of
contents of each disc is memorized so that it does not need to be re-
read each time the disc is accessed.

Remote control in/out ****ts make the CDC-765 an ideal choice for
customer installation applications.

Program File lets you select the tracks once and then remembers those
selections each time the disc is selected. The CDC-765's Program File
function can handle up to 100 discs.
40-TRACK PROGRAMMABILITY*
For easy and quick access, up to 40 tracks on any combination of discs
can be programmed into the CDC-765's memory.
10-KEY DIRECT ACCESS
Allows you to access each track at the touch of a button on the front
panel or the remote keypad.
INTELLIGENT DIGITAL SERVO SYSTEM
Automatically adjusts tracking, focus, and motor speed to compensate
for disc defects, warpage, and dust.
TAPE EDIT CAPABILITY
Tell the CD changer the length of the tape you're using and the
changer will automatically arrange the selections to best fit the
recording time.
PEAK SEARCH
Finds the peak output levels on the disc selections and allows you to
set the proper recording level for the best possible dub.
SYNCHRO START CAPABILITY
Allows one-touch recording from the remote control. Synchro Start
automatically puts a Yamaha cassette deck in the record mode before it
begins to play the CD selections.
