1982 Punch Imlach "Heaven And Hell In The NHL" 1st Edition Book

I have for sale the 1st edition, hardcover book "Heaven And Hell In The
NHL" by Punch Imlach with Scott Young (1982). This out-of-print,
hardcover,
edition book contains 216 pages with vintage black and white photographs
on
the life and coaching career of Toronto Maple Leafs' coach Punch Imlach.
Front Jacket Excerpt:
"The worst three years of my long and generally happy life in hockey began
of Friday, June 8, 1979." That's the way Punch Imlach begins a book that
will have hockey followers laughing in some places and gasping in others.
The public image of Toronto Maple Leafs' captain and leader Darryl Sittler
is hotly compared to the Sittler Imlach had to deal with privately. Leafs'
owner, Harold Ballard, is nationaly known for being able to make top news
anywhere, anytime. He's even more fascinating close up. Imlach tells what
it's like to work with Ballard day by day-including the day Imlach told
him, "Harold, you've got the biggest case of foot in mouth disease I ever
saw in my life." But this book isn't only about the Leafs. It also covers
in a fun-loving and exciting way the years in which Imlach built the
Buffalo Sabres from very little, with Reg Flemming and Eddie Shack keeping
crowds laughing, to joining the the class of the league. Fired late in
1978, Ballard brought Imlach back to Toronto and gave him a free hand to
change the Leafs from chronic second-raters to the kind of team with which
Imlach won four Stanley Cups in the 1960s. The story of how he tried-the
the slowdowns to get a coach fired, his shouting matches with Sittler, his
reasons for trades - is told here, for the first time. Through his last
Toronto years, because of his heart condition, Imlach rarely talked to the
press. Now he tells it all. It's a tough and sentimental book, with
Imlach's love for the game and for his particular kind of player always
showing through."
The 1982 Punch Imlach "Heaven And Hell In The NHL" 1st edition hardcover
book is in MINT condition.
