Epson chip - has it changed?

by "Walter" <qp35@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Feb 27, 2007 at 02:22 AM

For a few years I've used a JY168-11 chip resetter on my Epson T007
and T008 cartridges. I never refill these. I just put them straight
back in the printer and get a further 30% or more print out of them,
then I bin them.
Today I used the resetter but the lamp stayed red and the chip refused
to be reset. Have Epson changed their chip?
Epson cartridge prices are exorbitant, but saving the 'wasted' ink did
ease the pain. It's false economy to buy a cheap printer and spend
twice the difference on cartridges over a couple of years. If I can't
reset the cartridges I'll give the Epson away and buy a Canon.
Please don't email me, this address is no longer valid.
