This is a VST UltraTek/66 PCI Card. It allows you to connect up to four
IDE, EIDE or ATA drives to your Macintosh.

The UltraTek/66 has two ATA-66 channels. You can add up to two EIDE
(IDE, EIDE or ATA) devices to each channel for up to four drives total.
The card communicates with the drives at up to 66 MB/s, which is faster
than any hard drive can actually get data off of its platters. ATA-100
and ATA-133 hard drives are compatible with the UltraTek/66. The
UltraTek/66 also has excellent compatibility with CDROM and DVD-ROM
drives. I use one to control my Acer 16X DVD-ROM drive.
The card comes with version 1.1.2W of the firmware installed. This
firmware provides sup****t for OS 7.6.1 through 9.2.x. The card is fully
compatible with OSX if you update the firmware to version 2.2.4. The
firmware updater is available from OWC and running the updater is simple.
This card began life as a Promise Ultratek/66 card but has been modified
to be fully functional as a VST card. Sale is for the bare card only.
I will offer a 7 day after receipt of the card warranty that it works
properly. If for some reason the card fails within 7 days of delivery I
will refund the buyer's money or replace it after the card has been
returned to me.
