How to get IRIX?

by "Mr. Johan Andersson" <johan@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Mar 9, 2007 at 04:24 PM

Hi,

New to this group as I am a sun/solaris man usually...

I got my hands on an old SGI/INDY which I am trying to kick
to life... the old harddrive was definitly broken but the rest
of the hardware seems to work ok, at least as far as I can see
right now...

This means I now sit without an OS to load into it, I'm not even
sure what version I CAN load into it :-)

Anyone knows where I can get my hands on a version of Irix for
this old baby :-) I'm on a tight budget so if it costs a bundle
I will probably have to try to raise the ghost of Linux on it :-/

Pointers and refernces welcome
