The chip fits in the top left compartment above the keyboard:
Back up your entire unit (to your PC or a CF card).
Remove all the batteries, including the backup battery.
Let the unit rest five minutes.
Slide the compartment cover out.
Insert the chip - line it up with the slots in the back, push gently,
press down until it locks.
Replace the cover.
Insert the main battery and turn the machine on for a re-boot. You will
need a CF card with the OS if you're using a Netbook (a very easy free
download if you don't have it, or I'll be happy to supply it).
Check that you now have 50MB of memory by going to Menu, Information,
Memory.
Restore your files from your backup.
That's it.
