I bought a snowthorwer last year for backing up my 10HP
gas thrower when it developed problems. I used the electric
snowthrower once when the gas thrower finally died this spring.
It turns out the electric thrower is way undersized for my 250'
driveway even for backup purposes. I only finished 1/3 of my
driveway when the neighbor finished his driveway and helped
me to clear the remaining with his gas thrower. I now have a Honda
gas snow.
The Toro 1800 was rated highest among electric snowthrowers.
