It's time for my old Commodore to move on as I have a new company car.
Its a 1995 VR Series II Berlina with ABS, A/C, all the standard Berlina
fitout and it's an Automatic
The car is one of the VR's built as it was built in April 1995.
It has 245,000 Km on the clock.
It had a new Engine fitted at 200,00 Kms by it's previous owner.
I had the gearbox was reconditioned by Tableland Automatics 12 months ago.
The gearbox has heavy duty clutches and bands installed as well as a
reconditioned torque converter with heavy duty sprag clutch.
(It is setup for towing, though the car has never towed anything more than
a
14 foot caravan a distance of 80Km's to re-locate the van!)
Tyres are 80% or better.
It has 15" x 7" Mag Wheels. (1 is missing it's centre cap.)
A new headlining was fitted 15 months ago.
There are no rips or tears in the seats. (In fact, the interior is in
fantastic condition)
The engine is fitted with Pacemaker Extractors and has a genuine Holden
Cold
Air Induction System from a VS Commodore has been fitted.
There is a 2.5" S****ts exhausts system fitted.
The front end has had Nolathane bushes installed in both the sway bar and
the castor control arms.
There are 12 month old Genuine Holden front struts and shock absorbers
fitted all 'round.
The car is Standard Holden Berlina Metallic Green
The car is registered until 10/08
The car has Kenwood 200Watt 8 x 10" speakers fitted to the rear parcel
shelf
and has Sony 6.5" round speakers in the fron door pods. (There is no head
unit though, it has been removed, though for the right price, it could be
replaced. (It's a Sony 5oWatts per channel RMS (4 channels) head unit with
MP3 playback capability))
OK, thats pretty much all the good bits, now for the bad stuff.
The paintwork sucks...........the clear coat is peeling off of the boot,
the
bonnet and the roof so the car will need a re-spray.
The is a small ding in the PS fron guard, it is barely noticable but it
needs to be mentioned. (No creases though, I think a solid belt from a
well
placed fist will know the dent out)
The rear centre seat belt needs replacing.
The left hand tie rod end needs to be replaced. (Either that or the car
need
a reco steering rack)
The cars exhaust is too loud to pass rego, I only uses a resonator and no
muffler, it sounds great but wont pass RWC as it is at the moment.
The A/C needs re-gassing, it was last re-gassed 4 years ago when we got
the
car and it needs to be redone again.
