Hello all.
I have always enjoyed having a healthy stock of kuhli loaches in my
55 gallon aquarium. However, in the past few years, it has been getting
far more difficult to find any stores that actually carried kuhli
loaches in stock. Six years ago, when I lived in the Youngstown, Ohio
area, it used to be fairly easy to find kuhli's, even the large variety.
I had nearly a dozen in my tank until I had to move into Youngstown
itself. The change to Youngstown city water killed every kuhli that I
had even after I allowed the tank to settle for several days. Now, I
live just north of Columbus, Ohio and can seldom find any kuhli's at
all. Most of them that I do find are very small and not terribly hardy.
Is there anyone who knows of a nearby store that carries kuhli's
that are in decent condition and are not hideously expensive at the same
time. Even the largest aquarium store in Columbus, Aquarium Adventures,
seldom is able to keep kuhli loaches in stock. Thanks in advance.
